about SciOly

Science Olympiad is a nationwide academic competition program for students in Division A (elementary), Division B (middle school), and Division C (high school), where teams compete in a variety of STEM-based events across biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, and engineering. The competition is made up of a variety of events, including written tests, laboratory work, and engineering events that involve designing, building, and testing devices.

Students prepare throughout the season by focusing on 3-4 selected events and developing both conceptual knowledge and skills in said event. Teams compete at invitationals, regionals, states, and national levels, earning scores based on their performance across all events. Science Olympiad provides students with an opportunity to engage deeply with advanced scientific concepts early-on.

More detailed information about events can be found on the official Science Olympiad Website.
